We are back again with the next free standing book En enda hemlighet by Ahrnstedt. Yet again, she did not disappoint because it contained everything I require from a book but this time in my native language. I rarely read swedish books but Ahrnstedt's books is on point. Can't complain.

This was a little bit let down though, even thought I loved the overall plot itself. The thing that knocked me off was the fact that it was really similar to FSoG. We all know that FSoG can't be the original of it's genre. Still, the author managed to envelope this new hype with her own story building skills and give us a whole new parallell world to the first book. The ending was also something I wished she had not rushed.

I loved how we got glimpses of the first book's main characters and their happily ever after. It strangely didn't spoil the mystery and I'm grateful for that. Because of the previous book's sneak peak, we of course get one for the third one coming out this fall. I can't wait! Hesitation was washed over me when I found out there was going to be a third book, but now that I'm done with the second, I can't wait to read the next one. I only hope that the Ahrnstedt doesn't get inspired by any other viral-phenomenon.

I gave an extra star because the secondary romance between Peter and Gina was lovely.

This author has the unfortunate ability to ruin her carefully constructed relationships in the span of two chapters - 46 and 47.

    ---------------------- Spoilers ahead ---------------------------

    - Isobel, a sub, decides that she wants to try to be a dom. Just to know what the other person is experiencing. (I am skeptical here - but I don't actually have much experience so I am willing to accept it)
    - BUT she is suggesting that because she feels that her independence is slipping away and "she planned on taking this opportunity to create some kind of equality in the relationship." Oh hell no. This is such misplaced feminism is makes my head hurts.

    And it gets worse...

    - Turns out Alex had been sexually abused when he was ~13 by girls (~18 year old) who used him as a boy toy.
    - They are going ahead with the dom stuff! At this point, I am just distraught. I can't imagine a rape victim wanting to recreate an experience anywhere close to the horrible one they had. It feels wrong, but again, I am no psychologist unlike the author.

And the rest of the book was just sensationalism.
